Morning (pre-work) productivity: 1 hour
I got some busywork done (editing dictations, emails, submitting a form) over leisurely coffee and oatmeal.
At work: 8.5 hours
A pretty standard day.
Evening (post-work) productivity: 3 hours
From work I caught the train downtown for dinner with friends at Remedy, a wonderful Indian/Pakistani cafe. Then we headed over to watch one of the Northwestfest documentary film festival screenings -- The Art of the Prank. It was a beautiful sunny evening, so I walked home, then headed back to the cancer centre to get a little further along on physics assignments and radiation planning.
Overall productivity: good
Making it back to the cancer centre in the evening made all the difference; had I stayed home I'm sure I wouldn't have gotten much done.

at my work desk -- so quiet and productive in the evenings...secretly my favourite time to be here |
