RESIDENCY

Well my name tag says "Dr." and I'm getting paid to spend my days at the hospital, but I'm far from possessing the skills and knowledge I need to care for patients independently. If clerkship is childhood (where you're easily impressed and eager to please -- with the promise of reference letters), then residency is the teenage years (the time spent figuring out how to get by on your own).

Here are thoughts on life as a resident:

I'll try to do "a day in the life" posts as I move through residency rotations:

PGY-1

PGY-2

PGY-3

PGY-4
