Weekend Review: Supermoon, Snowshoe Hares, & Surgical Robots

It’s the weekend again; time to reflect on some things that brought me joy this past week!

1) Sunny weekend reading — Last weekend I finished American Wife and have moved on to Albert Camus’ The Plague. Looking forward to more reading on this lazy Saturday!

2) Snowshoe hares — Every few days I spot one of these bounding around outside my apartment. They seem quite used to being around humans.

3) Supermoon — My east-facing apartment provided a prime view of the supermoon rising on Sunday. The earth and moon were at their minimum separation distance, resulting in the largest-appearing moon of 2014.

4) Da Vinci surgical robot — I got to sit at the console and try maneuvering the arms for a couple minutes. Very neat!

5) Teeth and Car — I’m relieved that both my teeth and car checked out well at my respective dental and auto inspection appointments this week.
6) Hot air balloon — spotted unexpectedly on my walk to work yesterday!
